Men’s rugby team find success, builds strong legacy as a club sport

With a national championship win this fall, the Dartmouth women’s rugby team secured its spot as a powerhouse in the sport. However, many forget that there is a men’s team that competes at a high level year-round. The Dartmouth Men’s Rugby Football Club, although not an official varsity sport like the women’s team, has a legacy of success in the Ivy League and across the nation.

Rothwell and Valenti defend titles as women take third at Indoor Heps, men sixth

In what finished as a mixed weekend for Dartmouth, with the women’s team taking third overall and the men’s team finishing sixth, two Big Green athletes performed like they’d been there before — because they had. Julia Valenti ’20 repeated as women’s pole vault champion, while Cha’Mia Rothwell ’20 took first in the women’s 60-meter hurdles, a title she has won in all three of her Ivy League seasons.

Spearman looks to break program 60m dash record

As an old school with a very long history, it is very difficult for school records at Dartmouth to be challenged or even broken. However, Donovan Spearman ’21 is on the verge of doing just that. He is currently ranked second in Dartmouth’s history for the 60 meter dash and has plans to improve his position.
