One-on-One with Lindsey Allen '16

This week, I sat down with Lindsey Allen ’16 of the No. 10 women’s hockey team before the team traveled to upstate New York to face St. Lawrence University and No. 7 Clarkson University. Before cooling off with two losses this weekend, the team had raced out to a 4-0-0 start, scoring 19 goals through four games. Allen leads the Dartmouth women with six goals this season.

I sat down with women’s soccer goalie Tatiana Saunders ’15 before the team’s season finale against Cornell University, which it lost 1-0. Saunders, reigning Ivy League women’s soccer player of the week, has had a strong season, allowing 11 goals in 15 games and notching seven shutouts.

I sat down with Wyatt Omsberg ’18 of the men’s soccer team before the team’s Saturday game against Harvard University. Omsberg is the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week thanks to his game-winning overtime goal in the Big Green’s 1-0 win over Columbia University last week.

One on One with Alex Adelabu '15

I sat down with Alex Adelabu ’15, striker for the men’s soccer team, Wednesday after the team’s 3-1 loss to then-No. 23 Boston University. Adelabu, who leads the team in goals and points this season (five and 13, respectively) earned Ivy Player of the Week honors after two goals in three games for the Big Green. On Saturday, the team lost its first Ivy game of the season, 2-1 to the University of Pennsylvania.

One on One with Anna Rowthorn-Apel '18

This week, I sat down with Anna Rowthorn-Apel ’18, who plays for Big Green field hockey team. Rowthorn-Apel won Ivy League Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals in Dartmouth’s win over the University of Pennsylvania — the first Big Green field hockey player to earn the honor since Ali Savage ’15 in 2011.

This week I sat down with Kirby Schoenthaler ’15, a wide receiver and kick returner for Dartmouth’s football team. Schoenthaler set a school record for kickoff return yards in a single game against the University of New Hampshire last weekend with 198 and was named the Ivy League special teams player of the week for his performance.

I sat down with Tyler Sikura ’15, the captain of the men’s hockey team. After a disappointing first half last season, the Big Green surged to move up in the playoff standings. The team upset No. 7 seed Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before falling in two games to No. 1 seed Union College. Last week, the team was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll.
