The temperature has finally climbed above 70 degrees more than once this term, and despite the questionable snowstorm and some persistent rain, sun dresses and salmon shorts dotting the Green are sure signs that spring weather has come to Hanover. With this nice weather brings the need to fill our time with outdoor activities (because who can survive the stacks when it's above 60 degrees outside?). Our focus may suffer, but it will be worth it when we establish a nice base tan (or burn) for the warm days ahead. So what should you do now that it's bearable to be outdoors? Follow the chart for a few ideas.

My first two questions when I heard about the anonymous $100 million gift:
1. “Can we get that in dollar bills so I can roll around in it?”
2. “Did Phil Hanlon make it rain when he got the news?”

With the new, less conspicuous, spread-out Dimensions schedule, prospie spotting (covered in depth in a recent post by Samantha Webster ’15) is now more along the lines of "’18s, they're just like us" than akin to seeing a unicorn on campus. Regardless, there's something magical about beings who have yet to drink the green Kool-Aid. With that in mind, here are some questions I would like to ask the ’18s.

This week definitely saw a weaker voter turnout despite some tight races between. I am going to attribute it to the stomach bug and fever going around, but is everyone too sickly to even contemplate food?! Ah well, the battle must continue. Now comes the time to pick the final four and see which food is the most popular at each dining hall.

This year’s mysterious three-part Dimensions really ups the ante on prospie-spotting. Since we hardly have a grasp on when they’re supposed to be here, there is undoubtedly an increased level of difficulty in picking out the potential ’18s infiltrating campus this month. Thus, in the name of practicality (and entertainment), here is your go-to guide for spotting prospies.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that the College recently got the largest single donation in its entire history – $100 million. It was an anonymous gift, which for me conjures up images of a masked ninja swooping in through a window with a giant check or pot o’ gold and swooping back out so no identities are revealed.

Since over 400 of you voted in the polls last week, it seems like food really is a priority for many of us. Some have noted that I didn’t seed the entries, and that was intentional — I wanted to use the polls to answer some of my personal research questions about what is the top choice between relatively similar types of offerings. Also, I didn’t include Novack (or the East Wheelock Snack Bar for that matter) because they don’t offer nearly as many freshly made options as the other dining locations do.

The start of a new term means new classes, a new season and a new Facebook album, seeing as last term’s album somehow collected an absurd 400 photos in nine weeks. Maybe you should stop posting all of those Snapchat screenshots, maybe you should stop drunk-uploading terribly blurry selfies, or maybe you should change nothing and dive into filling up another amazing album. But what to name it? You probably went with an inside joke or the classic 14S, but these titles would have been much more truthful:

Though the snow still on the ground may indicate otherwise, spring has officially arrived at Dartmouth. While we're still receiving Snapchats from friends bragging about the temperature at their schools farther south, there are several exciting things about the very beginning of spring term. Perhaps the most obvious of these is the mass influx of people back on campus after an off-term (or two). If you're back for the first time in months and have forgotten how to navigate the Collis pasta line or find your favorite study spot, never fear – one constant is the people you are bound to encounter as you re-familiarize yourself with the Dartmouth bubble. Welcome back – here come the joyful reunions and awkward eye contact.
