This week, potential new Greek house members will navigate the College’s first-ever virtual rush. Despite the virtual format, sorority rush will have nearly 400 participants, while fraternity rush, which adopted a formal registration process this year, will see over 300 potential new members.
Girls’ rush is a process filled with … you see, that’s the problem — no one really knows. It’s that time of year again… womens’ rush. Over the next week women will be running all over campus making small talk, smiling until their mouths hurt and collecting names in booklets like they’re Pokémon. Yet, men’s rush lasts two days and seems to mostly involve playing pong and shaking hands. So, what exactly do guys think happens at womens’ rush events?
After the first round of Panhellenic Council sorority recruitment ended last Tuesday, Panhell executives said they spent hours calling sorority presidents, asking them to invite more women to their second round.
