"Du Und Sie Und Wir"— Fornika

Lucy Tantum:Although this song is completely in German and has only 27 views on YouTube, I guarantee that you have heard it. In fact, you probably hear it almost every day. Because if you have ever been in the library at 9 p.m., you will recognize "Du Und Sie Und Wir" as the background music in the Jones Media Center closing announcement. So go ahead and jam out to some German rap – just don't forget to return your videos.

"Alive"—Sia

Parker Richards: Oh, Sia. Somehow even weirder than the late David Bowie and the slightly less late Prince, Sia is just one of those inherent truisms of the modern music scene. Whether or not you dig the electropop/acid jazz sound, "Alive" is an incredible anthem to energetic self-preservation and self-love — or just a song to wake up to after an overly ambitious Green Key weekend. "I'm still breathing / I'm alive" certainly works well for those mornings. (Also, the music video is really, really weird. Because Sia.)
