6 Game of Thrones Drinks To Enjoy This Winter Carnival

Looking for a way to get really into the Carnival spirit? Over 21? Why not try a drink inspired by Game of Thrones characters and events? (Drink responsibly!)

The Khaleesi

Despite her small stature, Daenerys Targaryen is a fearsome opponent, just like this innocent-looking but deceptively strong drink.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz Absolut Hibiscus Vodka

5 oz Extra Dry Andre

  1. Pour the champagne and vodka into a fancy glass and stir, all while staring down your companions.
  2. Drink it and feel your power increase as your dragons fly back to you.

Dragon’s Breath

To fully embrace the character of a dragon you must breathe fire. I recommend shots of Fireball whiskey that will leave you with a cinnamon (and hopefully not charred) aftertaste.

The Cersei

RED WINE and lots of it. You have to deal with lots of crazies and still always appear in control. Wine helps you deal, and the red color is just as passionate and violent as you are.

Battle of the Blackwater

This drink incorporates the excitement of fire just like the surprise wildfire that made a crucial appearance in this battle.

Ingredients

¾ shot amaretto

¼ shot Bacardi 151 proof rum

Cup of Keystone

  1. Fill your shot glass with the amaretto and top off with the Bacardi 151.
  2. Prepare your keystone, then using wildfire flame throwers, set your shot on fire.
  3. After blowing out the flame, drop your sinking ship (aka shot glass) into the beer.
  4. Swallow all your losses in the sea battle in one gulp.

Night’s Watch

Kegs of beer. You’re cold, bored and lonely up in the wilderness by The Wall where no women are allowed. Plus those White Walkers are pretty freaky. Beer will help warm you up, and it’s conducive to games that will get you through the long nights.

The Red Wedding

This drink is rumored to be the strongest cocktail you can have — and may perhaps even be deadly. Its dark red color belies all the blood that was spilled that fateful wedding. I would highly suggest avoiding this drink: it will definitely be more than you bargained for.

Ingredients

2 oz. Absinthe

3 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Brandy

1.5 oz. Gin

1 oz. Blackberry Liqueur

  1. Mix all the ingredients with ice and a splash of deception.
  2. Pour into a chilled glass and serve to your party guests .
