13X Cribs: A Haus

“A Haus” (not house!) is a three-story town house in the ABCD four-house complex on West Wheelock Street. The residence has an open ground floor perfect for studying and socializing, seven bedrooms — three on the top floor, one on the ground level and three in the basement — and a hammock in the front yard.

The house has been known to shelter many ski patrollers over the years, and the lease has been in the hands of Alpha Chi Alpha fraternity brothers since 2007.

Current tenant Molly Chodakewitz ’15 said that while the house is “slightly older than McLaughlin,” it has been fairly well maintained. It comes furnished, including kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer, and offers four parking spaces. According to the tenants, its distinguishing features include a panda mural on the living room wall, a chalkboard pillar and a red “Easy” button next to the front door.
