Harold Maio argues reflection does mean capitulation.

Re: Dartmouth Only Ivy to Abstain from Signing Letter Against Trump Administration Funding Cuts

Beilock says “reflection does not mean capitulation.”

One can rationalize that, but yes, it does. There has been sufficient time for “reflecting” upon the actions of the Trump administration against colleges, universities, law firms. 

Threats to education, unchallenged, threaten the fabric of democracy.
