Actress Sandra Oh will deliver the 2025 commencement address on June 15, Dartmouth News announced today. She will also receive an honorary doctorate of arts during the ceremony.
Oh is known for her roles as Cristina Yang in “Grey’s Anatomy” and as Eve Polastri in “Killing Eve.” She has won four Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
“I will finally fulfill my parents’ dream of me getting [an honorary] university degree. I am the last in my family to do so, so phew,” she said to Dartmouth News. “But truly, it’s an honor and a responsibility I take seriously. It's always a good thing to have to figure out what you want to say. And to have an audience of young people judge you for it.”
The announcement stated that several other people, whose names will be revealed at a later date, will also receive honorary degrees during the ceremony.
