What inspired you to join the Mirror?
AC: I wanted to try out journalism.
NY: I really love talking to new people and learning about them.
CK: I’m excited to write reflective articles about topics I’m fascinated by.
SB: I love writing and reflection and meeting people in random spheres.
MG: This is my New Yorker :).
AJ: The articles! They always have such introspective pieces published.
AK: I was inspired by one of the posts I saw from the Mirror (prior to even attending Dartmouth) that deeply resonated with me.
IG: I want to connect with my community through writing.
LB: I wanted to try something new!
What are you most looking forward to this fall?
AC: The leaves changing color.
NY: To discovering even more traditions, and to making my own space on campus.
GL: Bonding with more of the student community.
CK: I'm looking forward to fall weather.
SB: Halloween.
MG: It being socially acceptable to walk around campus with a mug.
JW: The bonfire!
AJ: The vibes and foliage.
AK: Getting in a proper routine!!
TM: The pretty sights.
IG: Homecoming!
LB: Halloweekend and watching the leaves.

What’s at the top of your Dartmouth bucket list?
AC: Hiking Gile.
NY: If I can muster up the bravery, the Polar Plunge!
GL: Snowball fight!
SB: Apple picking, sunrises, farmer’s market, stargazing!
MG: Go on a surf trip!!
JW: Go on a run through the full Pine Park loop!
AK: Snowboarding and skiing.
IG: Taking ski lessons.

What’s been the most disorienting part of Dartmouth so far?
AC: It’s so small.
GL: The fast-paced quarter schedule.
CK: Adjusting to social and academic life.
AJ: The scheduling, so much to do all the time!
TM: The 10-week system.
IG: All the lingo and nicknames for places on campus.
LB: Probably the winters.
AS: Getting my bike stolen :(
What’s your favorite Dartmouth memory so far?
NY: Late nights spent talking in my dorm!
CK: My first-year canoeing trip!
SB: Merch shopping.
JW: My first Gile sunrike on the second day of classes!
AJ: Hanging out with friends on the Green.
AK: My First-Year Trip!! Cabin Camping & Meditation — except there was very little meditation.
IG: Going to Moosilauke after First-Year Trips.
