Jan. 22, 12:43 a.m.Mid-Massachusetts HallA female member of the Class of 2013, who was incapable of standing on her own, was taken from Mid-Mass Hall to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in an ambulance following Safety and Security's response to a Good Samaritan call. The student was later transferred to Dick's House, and was referred to the Hanover Police's Alcohol Diversions program.
Jan. 22, 1:07 a.m.Smith HallFollowing a Good Sam call, Safety and Security officers found an intoxicated female member of the Class of 2012 in Smith Hall. The female spent the night at Dick's House.
Jan. 23, 1:35 a.m.River ClusterSafety and Security responded to a call about an intoxicated female in French Hall. When the officer arrived and tried to identify the female, she provided several different names and alleged to be a Dartmouth student. Hanover Police was brought in for assistance and she was eventually identified as a non-student visiting a friend. The female was transported to DHMC for treatment and referred to the Diversions program.
Jan. 23, 2:43 a.m.Tuck DriveWhile patrolling outside of the Rockefeller Center, a Safety and Security officer noticed a male fall into a snow bank and then stagger along Tuck Drive. The student, who was identified as a member of the Class of 2014, appeared to be intoxicated, and the officer asked to see his ID card. After handing the officer his ID, the student slapped the officer's arm asking him to return it. Dartmouth Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene to evaluate the intoxicated student, and he was sent to Dick's House.
Jan. 23, 9:39 a.m.Tuck DriveSafety and Security received a call Sunday about a student who had been injured in McLane Hall. The female student, a member of the Class of 2014, had fallen from the top bunk bed and hurt her shoulder. In addition to Safety and Security's response, an ambulance arrived to transport the student to DHMC.
Jan. 24, 5:17 a.m.Thayer School of EngineeringA Thayer employee called Safety and Security Monday morning to report a large water leak in Cummings Hall. Upon arrival, the officer discovered that the pipes had frozen and burst, causing water to run into the elevator shaft. The officer then called troubleshooters from Facilities Operations and Management to turn the water off.
