The Dartmouth

Editor's Note

Okay, that might be due to a potential case of the flu, but my blitz inbox (or my trash folder is at least...) is overly full of financial information and friends keep making indignant remarks about what parts of the Dartmouth lifestyle we will soon be missing. I'm personally praying that Late Night stays the same. The name will just become a cruel joke if it ends any earlier.

But most of the talk on budget cuts has been from sources like the administration, and yes, the news section of The D, which, while they are informative, can also feel abstract and impersonal. Even though the cuts are some of the biggest news for the College this year, even in Hanover it's still easy to find distractions. That midterm you've got next week is pretty important too and as a break from studying, it's always more appealing to check the pong line at your favorite basement than the details of Dartmouth's bottom line.

So to help all of this money talk make sense, The Mirror theme this week is budget cuts. I know, I know, the epic cover just might have given that away.

Additionally, while the College figures out how to cut corners, both Kate Farley and Priya Krishna give tips on how to save some money yourself. Priya even gives again on the same page with another find from the DDS Detective. I personally fact-checked the food and I promise it is delicious.

My final thought? Hey students at least this copy of The Mirror was free. It's all I could do to help.
