To the Editor:
I am writing in reference to an article in the September 21st edition of "The Dartmouth" regarding computer thefts. The article reports in error that the thefts were "reported first to Safety and Security, but responsibility was soon passed on to the police department".
In actual fact, Safety and Security never reported anything regarding these incidents to the police; the student victims themselves had contacted Hanover before even notifying Safety & Security of their losses.
We always encourage victims to report incidents to both agencies in order to provide the best service possible.
