Concerts feature music, comedy

As spring has arrived in Hanover, the Programming Board will host four concerts highlighting some of today's best musicians and comedians.

Renowned stand-up comedians Steven Wright and Paula Poundstone will throw a double-comic punch on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Leede Arena.

Wright last performed at Dartmouth to a capacity crowd in Leede in April 1994.

Undergraduate admission will be $17 and tickets for the general public are $20 each.

That same weekend, George Clinton and the P. Funk All-Stars will shake down Leede with their jazzy bass and funky vibes in tunes such as "Wanna Take You Higher" and "If Anybody Gets Funked Up (It's Gonna be You)" on Sunday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for undergraduates and $20 for the general public.

Just when midterms blues start setting in, Anthony Clark, the star of "Boston Commons," NBC's new Thursday night show between "Friends" and "Seinfeld," will please the crowd in Webster Hall on Saturday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. in Webster Hall.

Tickets are $10 for undergraduates and $20 for the general public.

Finally, the hot hip-hop artists The Fugees, featuring Lauryn Hill, will keep the crowd moving to hits such as "No Woman/No Cry" on Wednesday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m. in Webster Hall.

Undergraduate tickets are $12 each, and general admission tickets are $14 each.

Tickets for all shows will be on sale today at registration and at the Collis information desk after Wednesday.

General admission tickets will be on sale at the information desk, Subterra Sports on Main Street and Strawberries record store in West Lebanon.
