The Big Apple Circus will bring its unique brand of entertainment and a touch of Italy to Hanover in less than two weeks.
The circus, founded by Paul Binder '63, has been coming to the Hanover area for the past 12 years. This year, they will be performing "Carnevale in Venice."
The Hopkins Center for the Performing Arts presents the show, which starts on July 19 and runs until July 24. Shows will be at the Fullington Farm on Route 10 North, about three miles from the Green.
"Their core performers are very skilled and have a classical background," said Georgia Croft, publicity manager for The Hop. "They are also bringing guests artists -- world-famous circus performers who travel all over the world."
Tickets ranging in price from $8.50 to $22.50 will be on sale until July 23 through The Hop.
Friday, July 22 will be a special night, where a Darmtmouth student can pay $4 will get a picnic, transportation to the circus and a center stands circus ticket.
The Programming Board, the Office of Residential Life and the 1996 Class Council are funding the special deal.
