The women's ultimate frisbee team came close to qualifying for nationals this weekend at the Ultimate Frisbee Regional Tournament here at Dartmouth.
The Frost Heaves, as all Dartmouth ultimate teams are known, went 2-2 over the weekend, losing to Columbia and Brown, but beating UVM and SUNY-Purchase.
"We're only four years old," team member Amy Hannah '93 said. "For a pretty young team we've been doing very well."
Last weekend at Hampshire, the women went 2-1. The Frost Heaves have also traveled to Williams and Princeton and have played with the men when Dartmouth entered a co-ed team in tournaments.
This summer, the women will have a team and be going to several tournaments.
"It's more laid back in the summer," Hannah said.
