I Wanna Go — Summer Heart This is of those songs that combines intriguing vocals and instrumentals to create an undeniable summer feel.

Wishes — Beach House The Beach House sound is unmistakable because it has such a distinct youth to it — perfect for 12X.

Oviedo — Blind Pilot Hopefully 12X is stress-free as is, but just in case you need a little more carefree, this one is the most soothing.

Time to Pretend — MGMT This track has “YOLO” written all over it (as long as one is conscious of “YOLO’s” inherent stupidity, it’s still funny).

We Own the Sky — M83 This song gets you feeling like you can conquer the world and like anything is possible. Bask in the glory of your sophomore summer.

Eyes as Candles — Passion Pit Passion Pit needs little explanation. This song has fire and sun in it and, of course, Passion Pit’s unmistakable ring.

Shark in the Water (HalfStyle Remix) — V.V. Brown This is an upbeat remix of a classic vocal song. Don’t worry, there aren’t any sharks in the Connecticut.
