Over the past year, actor and comedian Kyle Mooney has been gaining what can be referred to as nothing less than a cult following for his “man-on-the-street”-style interviews. The sensation began when Kyle, a main member of the Southern California-based YouTube comedy troupe, “Good Neighbor,” started interviewing local fans at an L.A. Lakers Championship parade. This video, entitled “Lakers Champions,” features a socially awkward Kyle walking up to strangers and asking them almost incoherent questions. In the video, Kyle also searches for the elusive “Colby” Bryant. Since his interviewing debut, he has made almost a dozen similarly styled videos with settings ranging from a San Francisco Giants game to a Roller Derby competition. All of his videos feature the same hysterical reactions from the confused and uncomfortable people being questioned, all of whom are unsure of how to react to Kyle’s inquiries. Kyle, who has made multiple appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in his awkward interviewer persona, is easily one of the funniest people putting up videos online today.
