Editor’s Note

W inter term is sleep-central. It’s only natural: even bears know to hibernate the whole way through. There’s limited light, the weather’s too gross to bother with going outside and the season’s food is so heavy it’s guaranteed to make a comfortable bed look even more inviting.

Plus sleeping has lots of added bonuses for Dartmouth kids this term. While you sleep, you can dream. And in dreamworld you can even party with all your abroad friends (plus some sadly absent alumni) and chances are it’ll probably be a better scene than the one here in Hanover.

Personally I even do my best thinking during naps. (That’s not just an excuse, I swear.) For example, I wrote this editor’s note in my sleep and it’s clearly above par. Or at least worth a silver. Right, judges?

Well … sleep on that thought.
