While I had the time of my life last Saturday stalking down Wale and Mike Posner for pictures and autographs, I can’t say I know more than two or three of their songs. Amita and I seem to always have the same “Top 40” songs on repeat in our rooms and in the office.

Thanks to my sorority blitz lists and favorite campus DJs, I’ve managed to develop a somewhat decent iTunes collection for a girl who’s been to both a Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys concert. While my pop music days aren’t quite behind me, I’d like to think my music tastes have matured a bit since coming to Dartmouth, expanding to include a variety of techno/rap/remixes that bring out my inner rockstar as I jam to the latest from Kid Cudi or MGMT on repeat in frat basements.

This week’s Mirror looks at the Dartmouth music scene — or lack thereof. From campus DJs to a cappella groups, what is our music scene like — do we even have one? We hope you enjoy this issue, and we’ll see you tonight at the Maino concert.
