College files for summary judgment in alumni lawsuit

Dartmouth has filed a motion for summary judgment, in which a judge decides a case without a full trial, in the current alumni lawsuit against the College, the College announced on Monday. The suit is the second alumni lawsuit filed against the College in less than two years. More »

Kim asks Greeks for 'frank' conversation

Alum praises Sotomayor in hearing

**Correction appended** Former acting Dean of Yale Law School and former member of the Board of Trustees Kate Stith-Cabranes ’73 praised Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor’s intellectual and professional capabilities while testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday afternoon. Stith-Cabranes, who was called as a witness by the Democratic party during Sotomayor’s confirmation hearing, has academic expertise in criminal law and has known the judge since 1992. More »

College begins search for new CIO

The College Office of Finance and Administration has initiated the process to replace former Chief Investment Officer David Russ, according to executive vice president of finance and administration Adam Keller. The Office of Finance and Administration will begin the process by selecting a firm to manage the search, Keller said, after which the firm will begin reviewing candidates. Until a permanent replacement is selected, former Trustee Peter Fahey ’68 will serve as acting CIO, Keller said. More »
