May 13, 3:51 p.m. Lebanon Street Hanover Police received a complaint from the attendants of a downtown parking garage that people were jumping on the roof of the garage. The police went to the scene where they found a young male and issued him a warning.

May 14, 5:28 p.m. Hanover Area A male individual notified Hanover Police that his bicycle had been stolen. The victim thought he found his bicycle listed for sale on the Internet by someone with an address in Farmington, N.H. Hanover Police referred the case to the Farmington Police, who found that the serial number of the bike on the Internet did not match the number of the bike that was missing.

May 14, 10:25 p.m. North Main Street Hanover Police traced a 911 call to Gamma Delta Chi fraternity. The caller said someone was badly cut, and people could be overheard in the background saying, “Don’t call.” When the police arrived at GDX, they learned that a male student had fallen and cut his forearm by putting it through a window. His friend had already taken him to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

May 15, 1:46 a.m. East Wheelock Street A Hanover Police officer on patrol noticed a female accompanied by four males lose her balance on the sidewalk near Alpha Delta fraternity. The officer turned around and approached the female, who said that she lost her balance due to the high-heeled shoes she was wearing. The students accompanying the girl said they could take her home, but the officer did not feel comfortable leaving her with them because she appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Since she was of age, Safety and Security was called to take her into custody. One of the males in the group interjected and said that the officer was violating his rights. He became belligerent and aggressive towards the officer, who called for backup. By the time another officer arrived, the group of males had grown. The most aggressive male began shoving one of the officers, and was subsequently arrested. The student was charged with disorderly conduct and will testify in court on June 6.

May 15, 4:07 a.m. College Street Safety and Security called Hanover Police to inform them that they were detaining an “out of control” male near Rollins Chapel. When the police officer arrived, he noted that the 19-year-old student was acting “strange” and was unsteady on his feet. After questioning the student, the officer ascertained that he had been drinking at a fraternity. The student was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchock Medical Center and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol. His court date is set for June 29. May 15, 11:33 p.m. West Wheelock Street Hanover Police received an anonymous call about high school students allegedly smoking marijuana under the Ledyard Bridge. The police investigated the scene and found that the individuals spotted were Dartmouth students, and no drugs were involved.

May 16, 2:09 a.m. Ivy Lane A Hanover Police officer on patrol was flagged down by a Hanover resident who reported that people were jumping on the roofs of the Ripley-Woodward-Smith residential cluster. When the officer arrived on scene, he found a hatch to get on to the roof from the attic. From the roof, the officer heard glass breaking on the ground — the glass was later determined to be from a bong. The individuals on the roof were identified as current or former Dartmouth graduate students and were turned over to a sober friend.

May 18, 4:02 p.m. Hanover Police received multiple complaints from Hanover residents about a group of six individuals selling magazines door to door. The individuals were located and identified as residents of Florida. Hanover Police warned them that they had to obtain a state license before resuming sales.
