While last week's issue on fashion may not have been exactly my thing, I'm pumped for this week's issue -- energy reduction at Dartmouth. As an environmental studies major, these issues have become important to me, and between taking my culminating seminar and planning a sustainable-themed party this term, I've become quite familiar with ways to reduce personal impact.

I'm not exactly a great model for reduction, but at least I'm trying. I am constantly flipping the lights off behind my roommates, and have recently started using a Nalgene more often. For my family in New Orleans, this makes me a certified hippie/Yankee/tree-hugger, but for the students leading the energy reduction campaign at Dartmouth, these efforts are child's play.

In putting together this issue, even Amita, who admits she isn't as environmentally conscious as she should be, has realized how easy it is to make small everyday changes that will have a large impact for our world in the future.

OH HEY '13s! Make the right choice. GO GREEN.
