Former Vice President Nelson Rockefeller '30, an "improbable tree hugger," fought against political headwinds in his advocacy for new environmental policies as governor of New York, according to panelists at a event in the Rockefeller Center Thursday. The panel of environmental experts explored Rockefeller's environmental legacy and current issues facing the nation, including recycling old gas stations and renewable energy resources.
