Theater students ‘fly…’ as part of intensive summer course
With the Big Apple Circus delivering high-flying, superhuman stunts three miles away, a team of Rays threatening playoff contention and waste-management robots and bat-themed superheroes striking box office gold, it’s official: humans are out like yesterday’s bull market. How appropriate, then, that this summer’s Mainstage production, “fly…” — which premiered Thursday in the Moore Theater at the Hopkins Center — features a cast of cats, rats and other zoological wonders rather than their more intelligent neighbors.
