To the Editor:

In his op-ed ("Frat-eternity," June 20), Zachary Gottlieb states on several occasions that the administration is trying to get rid of the Greek system.

If that is the case, why is the College allowing Beta Theta Pi fraternity to return to campus next fall? Why are they bringing back Zeta Psi fraternity the following fall? Why have they made low interest loans of up to $500,000 available to Greek letter organizations for physical plant improvements?

Surely this doesn't indicate an administration intent on destroying the Greek system.

As a long-time advisor to Alpha Delta fraternity and an observer of the relationship between the administration and the Greek system for over 40 years, I can confidently state that the relationship between the two is stronger and more positive now than it has been in those 40 years.
