Robert Downey Jr. is a bad boy saddled with boyish looks. Neither an iron helmet nor his storied drug abuse can outshine those fetching eyes, so prone to welling with tears and conveying unexpected vulnerability. Maybe his looks are what have ushered the troubled actor through all the arrests for possession and stints in rehab with enough of Hollywood’s good grace left to land him the starring role in a comic book blockbuster.
