I’m here to encourage you to vote and to let you know about the accomplishments of Student Assembly this year. Before you start claiming that we’re useless, I’d like to let you know what Vice President Ian Tapu ‘08 and I have done to build your Student Assembly this year and what we envision for the Assembly next year.

Lee Cooper has the approachability and work ethic that we need in an SA President.
I first met Lee during rugby preseason in August. Upon my arrival in Hanover, I was terrified to be surrounded by large upperclassmen. Lee was one of the first people to introduce himself and shake my hand with that big smile he always wears. Lee made me feel at home during that month before matriculation, even inviting me to the copper mines with some of his ‘09 friends. Lee’s genuine approachability is a trait that I want in my president. Lee would be a great asset for attracting new life into the Assembly — particularly the incoming ’12s — and few would hesitate to approach him with new ideas and initiatives.
