Killers, Gorillaz release dueling CDs

Recent releases from the Killers and Gorillaz both showcase a growing trend: musical multiplication. These DJ-ridden days, there’s hardly a song that has not been remixed, covered or re-released. Both bands have created pseudo-compilation albums that combine new material with rehashed hits and b-sides. But both bands have also managed to make new statements while working old material into their current repertoire. The Killers and Gorillaz have produced some of the best tracks of the past couple years, but not all of them have made it onto their albums.
