Dean of the College Thomas Crady and Dean of Residential Life Martin Redman held an open meeting to discuss the College's recent decision to allow the Dartmouth chapter of Beta Theta Pi fraternity to return to campus in Collis Center room 101 on Wednesday afternoon. The students crowding the room demanded to know the specific reasons for the College's decision and raised questions concerning the future of female-dominated social spaces on campus.

To fulfill the work-study component of her financial aid package at Dartmouth, Diana Guevara '09 works multiple shifts per week at the Collis Center Information Desk and the Hanover After School Program. Struggling to balance her work schedule with a full course load, she said she is too pressed for time to become more involved in other campus organizations. To finance her education, she relies upon money from her campus jobs, as well as loans that she will repay after graduating.
