College to cut health benefits for retirees

Reductions in the College’s retiree health care benefits plan for faculty and staff were contested at the Fall term meeting of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, held in Alumni Hall on Monday. The meeting culminated with a motion to send the proposed new plan to the Committee on Faculty for further review. More »

Edwards packs the Top of the Hop

Presidential hopeful John Edwards addressed a crowd of approximately 400 students and Upper Valley residents at the Top of the Hop Monday night. His speech focused on corruption in American government and how as president he would address it. More »

Two Tuck profs. named management gurus

A list of the world’s leading management gurus, called 2007 Thinkers 50, published Nov. 7th in The Times — a leading British newspaper — and the Times of India, included Tuck School of Business professors Vijay Govindarajan and Richard D’Aveni in its rankings. The rankings are composed according to a variety of criteria including originality of ideas, loyalty of followers and impact of ideas. More »

Obama talks change in Lebanon

Calling for a change to the Washington climate and an end to the U.S. troop presence in Iraq, presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., addressed a filled gymnasium at Lebanon High School Monday evening. Obama discussed a variety of issues ranging from education to gay marriage, emphasizing his dissatisfaction with the political status quo. More »
