President Wright and the administration not out to misinform

To the Editor:

I thank Phil Aubart '10 for providing another student's perspective on the current alumni controversy ("A Message to President Wright," Oct. 23).

However, I respectfully disagree with his premise that President Wright is unfairly leveraging his position as president to influence the student body. On the Dartmouth website, Wright's statement of Oct. 3 provides links to the Association of Alumni website and an extensive background article on the events surrounding the lawsuit. It is my impression that the administration is going to great lengths to see that all those concerned can have access to the facts with as little disinformation as possible.
