Poet and author Mark Doty spoke about his writing in Filene Audtiorium Thursday night. Doty lived in Provincetown, Mass. during the AIDS epidemic in the early ’90s and lost his partner to the disease.

The new Life Sciences building that will replace Gilman Hall will be named for the Class of 1978, and will incorporate green features such as "daylighting," which uses natural light to reduce the need for electricity.
