Tancredo calls for closed U.S. borders

Criticizing the nation’s immigration policies, presidential hopeful Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., spoke on closing the nation’s domestic borders in a town hall meeting with students at the Rockefeller Center Monday night. Tancredo called for a “time-out” on all legal immigration. More »

Fraternities see rise in size of pledge classes

As men’s rush wrapped up Monday, most fraternities on campus saw larger pledge classes than they did last fall. This year’s rush was marked by Psi Upsilon fraternity’s pledge class nearly doubling in size from last year and Gamma Delta Chi fraternity taking part in fall rush for the first time since 2002. In the name of synergy, women’s groups join forces

On a campus with over two dozen women-related organizations, gathering the members of these groups in one location is no easy task. The Center for Women and Gender is hoping to change this problem through the Council on Women’s Organizations, an umbrella group for the leaders of women’s organizations on campus to share what each of their organizations is doing and to work on ways that they can collaborate. October 3, 2:41 p.m., River Road A Hanover Police officer behind a school bus observed a red pickup truck pass the bus, ignoring the flashing lights and the extended swing arm indicating that the bus was dropping off children. The officer stopped the truck and issued a summons for the driver to appear in court. More »
