Prouty draws 4,000 participants

Dartmouth students joined community members to participate in the 26th Annual Prouty Century Bike Ride and Challenge Walk to raise money for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center this past Saturday. This year's event saw a tenfold increase in participation by students eager to support cancer research and claim a $3,000 prize offered to the Greek House with the highest participation rate. More »

McCain talks money question in Claremont

CLAREMONT, N.H. -- Following a week of financial woes and negative publicity surrounding his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spoke to a crowd of around 100 at the Claremont American Legion headquarters in a town hall meeting this past Saturday. Students carry canoe, fight emissions

COOS COUNTY, N.H. -- Nineteen Dartmouth students carried a canoe and a banner to the top of Mount Washington on Saturday, in observance of both a Dartmouth Outing Club tradition and a local event aimed at reducing the effects of climate change. The trip, which was organized by Cabin and Trail, a branch of the Dartmouth Outing Club, coincided with Climb it for the Climate, a one-day event supporting limitations on greenhouse gas emissions. Campus hosts Nicaraguan students

Six Nicaraguan students moved into La Casa at 4 a.m. last Thursday, an early start to what will be a dense two-week schedule at Dartmouth. This is the first time the Tucker Foundation's Cross-Cultural Education and Service Program has hosted international students in the United States. More »
