Hearing set for murder of alum

Three New Mexico men charged with the felony murder and sexual assault of Nicole Leigh Redhorse '95 will face a hearing on August 15 in Durango, Colo. Redhorse was 34 years old when she was killed in a Durango motel room on June 7. More »

Prospective student forums go live

In an effort to broaden the on-campus programs offered to prospective students, the Admissions Office recently began holding daily student forums. These forums, which began in the last week of June, are designed to give prospective students a chance to interact with current students and ask questions about Dartmouth life without parents or admissions officers present. Trustees reassess Board's composition

Dartmouth's Board of Trustees -- the only trustee board in the Ivy League in which alumni elect as many members as the board selects itself -- may soon receive a new structure. The board's governance committee, the group tasked with considering possible alterations to the representative body, announced in a June statement that it is exploring changes to "the size and composition of the Board and the method of Trustee selection." Jun '08 to serve in Singaporean army

Nifong disbarred after foul play in Duke rape trial

Several months after the dismissal of the rape charges against the Duke University lacrosse players, the saga has not ended for the former Durham County District Attorney Michael Nifong. Nifong resigned from his post as DA, was disbarred in the state of North Carolina and now could face criminal charges for contempt of court. More »

  • Tuition is rising again for state universities in New Hampshire, according to the annual budget approved by the New Hampshire University System Board of Trustees on Thursday. More »
  • Sophomore Trips -- a condensed version of the trips offered to incoming freshman by the Dartmouth Outing Club -- sent 104 sophomores into the New Hampshire wilderness this past weekend on trips ranging from leisurely hiking to whitewater kayaking. More »
