Defense lawyer: know your rights

Less than a week before Green Key weekend, Manchester-based criminal defense lawyer John Kacavas educated students about their constitutional rights at Kappa Kappa Kappa fraternity on Monday. In the seminar, organized by Student Assembly, Kacavas presented a brief synopsis of individuals’ legal rights against search and seizure and answered questions from students about their own encounters with the police. Christian intellectual journal makes debut

Nondenominational Christian journal Apologia published its first issue last Monday, making it the first publication of its kind at Dartmouth. The student journal’s staff seeks to bridge the divide between intellectualism and Christianity as well as foster a more open dialogue about faith on campus. More »

Latin American interest group recruits members

A new student organization, Por Latinoamerica, will hold its first meeting to announce its newly elected officers and lay out its purpose and goals to attendees Tuesday night. The group, recognized last Wednesday by the College, plans to focus on political, cultural and social issues directly related to Latin American countries. More »
