Jewelry studio inspires Paris internship and career dream

Most people who indulge in a passing flirtation with jewelry-making extend their productivity only as far as embroidery floss friendship bracelets, mother’s day macaroni necklaces and kindergarten seed beads are no longer fashionable. For two Dartmouth students, however, elementary school baubles were just the beginning. Jennifer Lopez ‘08 and Alix Toothman ‘08, both employees of the Hopkins Center’s Claflin Jewelry Studio, have continued designing and producing jewelry throughout the course of their respective Dartmouth careers.
