Alternative rockers Third Eye Blind hit the artificial turf of Leverone Field House Sunday night to deliver a high-energy 90-minute set that attracted an eclectic audience of Dartmouth undergrads and Hanover High School kids alike.

Last summer, moviegoers across the country watched Superman take a bullet in the eye. Audiences collectively gasped as the bullet, moving in painstaking slow motion, collided with Superman’s invulnerable retina and crumpled into a tiny metal pancake, falling harmlessly to the ground. I think there was a movie attached to this scene, but it’s been so long that I’m no longer certain.

I came to Dartmouth knowing I wanted to join Glee Club. But I’ve slowly come to accept that my constant singing consists of badly fumbled lyrics, voice-cracking and occasionally successful rapping. When I witnessed the Glee Club performance, “Latin Inspiration,” at Rollins Chapel Thursday night, I decided I was glad that I hadn’t tried out. I would never have made it; they’re too good.
