To the Editor:

As everyone around the world knows, April 16, 2007 was a horrific day for every student currently attending Virginia Tech, his or her parents, friends, family and everyone connected to the university. With this, the support from everyone around the globe has been truly amazing. A very good friend of mine works for Dartmouth and has told me about some of the things your campus has done to lend support to all of us at Virginia Tech.

In times of great tragedies like this, it is comforting to know that everyone cares. At Virginia Tech, this will continue to go on for a long time, so please, continue to keep those who have been injured (both physically and emotionally) and especially those whom we have lost and their families in your thoughts and prayers. For all your campus and community has done, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and I am sure the entire Virginia Tech community will echo those sentiments.
