Environmentalists lobby on Green

In spite of the remnants of last week's snowfall still muddying the ground, nearly 200 people gathered on the Green Saturday as part of the nationwide "Step-It-Up" campaign to raise awareness about global climate change. Hanover's event was one of over 1,300 similar events throughout the country intended to show support for legislation that seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050. More »

NSF funds grad study for nine alums

The National Science Foundation recently awarded funding to nine Dartmouth alumni for graduate study. The NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship Program grants the research fellowships to 1,000 people annually and will provide funding that supports recipients for three years. Recipients are early in their graduate careers and have diverse interests relevant to the foundation. More »
