Trustee candidate platforms are easily available

Grant Bosse '94 wrote that he does not know where Board of Trustee alumni candidates Sandy Alderson '69, Sherri Oberg '82, Tu '86, and John Wolf '70 stand with respect to College issues ("Show me your platform, win my vote," Jan. 24). All three (and petition candidate Janos Marton '04), have their statements and biographies, as well as their e-mail addresses and web sites, posted on www.voxthevote.org.
I urge Bosse to visit the site and learn about the candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee of the Alumni Council. On this site he can also read about the careful and thorough process used to identify these extraordinary alumni by their fellow alumni, not by the College as has been claimed by Stephen Smith '88 in recent letter mailed to the homes of most Dartmouth alumni. While he is there, I urge Bosse to read about the philosophy and the logistics of the Approval Voting Method.
