A squirrel’s venture onto a power line caused several residences on the north and west sides of campus to lose power for approximately one hour on Thursday afternoon. Residences affected included all six halls of the McLaughlin Cluster and houses on Webster Avenue, which are located on the north substation of the power grid.

Two males in a silver Audi with New Hampshire plates were allegedly driving around campus trying to sell Elite Audio speakers to Dartmouth students on Tuesday. The unidentified men reportedly claimed that the speakers were worth $3,200 but that they were just trying to get rid of them.

The Brain Imaging Center hosted a day-long event Thursday highlighting the use of neuroimaging equipment at Dartmouth in faculty and graduate student research. The event, which kicked off a series of presentations on the subject, included talks by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center professionals and Dartmouth professors as well as posters detailing different aspects of graduate-level research.

Hanover Police issued a Dartmouth sophomore a bench warrant after the 19-year-old failed to follow up on a summons stemming from an earlier intoxication arrest. The Dartmouth student turned himself in and has a court date October 31.
