Rosanne Cash puts on tough performance in Spaulding
Clad in black like her famous father was wont to do, Roseanne Cash moved some to tears and many to their feet with her debut in the Hopkins Center’s Spaulding Auditorium on Saturday evening. Appearance isn’t the only way Cash is her father’s daughter; she brought the same powerful intensity, emotional honesty, and lyrical refinement to her own songs as the late, great Johnny. Roseanne shared the story of how her father gave her a list of 100 country songs she needed to hear — including a few of his own.
