First women’s championship falls out of lady laxers’ grasp
The Dartmouth women’s lacrosse team finished its 2006 season with a loss in Sunday’s national championship game. In the College’s fifth appearance in a national title game, the Northwestern Wildcats defeated the Big Green 7-4 at Boston’s Nickerson Field to leave Dartmouth as the national runner-up — the women’s lacrosse team’s best ever finish.
