Over Winter Carnival, students broke out the rainboots to slosh through brown puddles on the Green. Three months later, not much has changed. Our much-anticipated weekend of alcohol-saturated fun in the sun will probably be more like alcohol-saturated fun under a tent.
But don’t be discouraged. This weekend is nothing like Winter Carnival. Although there’s no pathetically melting snow sculpture to mock, the rainy weather can bring other joys. Go listen to Jenn Sterger describe her meteoric rise to fame at Psi U, and during the meet and greet session, challenge her to a mud wrestling match.
Okay, actually that’s the only good thing about the rain that we can think of. And it might result in a restraining order. Try it and let us know — it would make a great story for your friendly campus daily. Seniors especially; it’s your last big weekend! You don’t want to graduate without rising to at least Police Blotter fame.
So make the most of the weekend. Just don’t leave your jacket/umbrella/lingerie at Chi Gam and blitz out to the entire campus.
