M:I-3 accomplishes its mission
There’s a scene in “Mission: Impossible III” that I want to discuss. It goes like this: An international arms dealer is attending a glamorous charity ball at the Vatican. A woman at the party takes a picture of him at a distance with a camera hidden in her make-up kit. She e-mails the picture to a man with a laptop, who plugs his computer into a portable machine that takes less than 30 seconds to generate a prosthetic mask which identically resembles the face of arms dealer. Another man puts on the mask, assumes the exact likeness of the arms dealer, and is able to pass for him at the party upstairs. More »
