To the Editor:

I am writing in response to the article in Tuesday's Dartmouth regarding Ozzie Harris' departure from the College ("Diversity chief Harris unexpectedly resigns," March 28). I have known Ozzie for over 20 years, and during this time, we have worked together on numerous projects and initiatives. Ozzie has been a colleague who has always stepped up to the plate. This was most evident when he agreed to serve as the first Director of the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity.

I know I speak for a great number of students and employees of the College when I say " thank you" for the work that he has done and his steadfast commitment to making us an even better community. We wish him well in his next venture.
