Dartmouth registrar Polly Griffin will be heading south after this academic year to take the same position at Princeton University. Princeton recently announced that she will succeed longtime registrar Joseph Greenberg who died in November 2005. Her appointment is effective Aug. 1.

Guster, a band that grew out of college friendships, will return to Dartmouth this spring for the Programming Board's annual big concert.
The alternative rock group is scheduled to perform on May 5 at 7 p.m. in Leede Arena. Tickets will go on sale April 15 at the Collis Information Desk at a cost of $10 for students and $20 for community members.

Do happy chickens produce better tasting eggs? Dartmouth Dining Services thinks so.
This term, Dartmouth joined roughly 80 other colleges nationwide that use eggs produced only by chickens raised outside of cages, making it the first Ivy League institution to change to what are known as "cage-free" eggs. Prior to DDS' switch, the College received its supply of hard-shelled eggs from factories which keep chickens in small, wire cages. Pete and Gerry's, a local organic farm, now supplies all of DDS' eggs.
