Wright Deserves Respect and Praise

To the Editor:

I find the recent letter about President Wright totally out of line and thoroughly inaccurate (“Wright Must Be Replaced,” (March 1). I conclude that the author merely dislikes Jim’s style, and that he would prefer confrontation.

I had a problem with the College as a money-contributing alumnus; I felt my money was not being managed well. I wrote to Jim Wright. He had the problem fixed — fixed well — and reported back to me. And I am only one of many thousands of alumni.

This letter also fails to demonstrate the respect due to a college president regardless of how the author views President Wright’s personal performance.

If he cannot respect President Wright, how can we respect this letter’s author and his views?
